persephone secret santa
December 17th, 2011 § 1 Comment
a day late, but i hope you can forgive me! this year was my second time participating in the persephone secret santa and it was even better than the last. my secret santa was rebecca, a new to me blogger who writes primarily at spoon.
the book i received is a new dorothy whipple novel, they were sisters, which i’m thrilled about. i’ve really taken to whipple and i had hoped i could continue reading more books by her and watching her progress as a writer.
i think the best part of the gift though is the part that rebecca made, which is a small painting of the beautiful endpaper in the novel. i’m in the process of having a custom frame made for it and i wish the photographs that i took of it did it justice, it is beyond beautiful!
thank you so much rebecca. (and to claire and verity for organizing this and making it possible to have a thoroughly grey christmas).
ps, iris was my santee and i hope her post will be up shortly with what she’s received.
Ooh, you can’t go wrong with Whipple – hope you enjoy it! Happy Christmas and thanks for joining in
